The Perfect

Is there a perfect out there?  I’m not sure, but I think that I found a really good one that might come close.  Let me tell you there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of tennis videos available, but you’ve got to know what you are looking for when you decide to purchase one.

One of the first things I do when I’m looking for a good instruction video is check out their websites to see all that they offer.  I look for from actual people.  Not just a bunch of words.  I like those sites that show people or the ones that provide the picture of the person who is giving the testimonial.  That’s always a plus in my book.  Then I look to see how thorough the tennis site actually is.  Meaning did they provide small excerpts maybe from one of their videos telling me a little bit about what they are going to offer me as instruction.

Do they provide me with examples of what a , forehand, volley, etc are?  And if they are providing me with tennis definitions, are they easy to understand.  Can a 10 year old kid understand what they are describing to me?

Then I like to see if they offer a sample video or two.  You know a little something to peak my interest besides the text that were written.  Now don’t get me wrong in the very end, the proof is in the pudding.  You know, it’s when you get that tennis instruction video home and start receiving the instructions from whoever is teaching that you will know whether you wasted your money or if you made a really good investment.

I like a pretty website, with lots of eye catching pictures and wallpaper.  But it needs to provide me with some kind of tennis substance, not just be nice looking.  So I look to the sample video for the substance. I’m looking to see if they offer me step by step break downs of what they are doing.  Do they provide me with enough time to follow their example or do they rush straight through to the next .  Is the video clear and are the instructors knowledgeable in tennis.

If I like what I see of the instruction being given, then more than likely I’m going to be sold.  And then I’m going to do what most people do best.  Tell some body about the perfect that I bought.

Do you feel that your Tennis Game is stuck or maybe even going in the
wrong direction?

The biggest danger for a beginning tennis player is learning a stroke the wrong way. Once the body learns a movement pattern, it's hard to unlearn it. Erasing muscle memory, by replacing it with a new correct movement, is a frustrating and painstaking process.

And the hardest things to unlearn are those we learn as a raw beginner. Flaws you acquire at this stage are deeply ingrained. They can dog you forever, making you miss shots you shouldn't miss.
